Radisson Blu Royal Hotel aims to become the top event hotel in Helsinki city center and to attract more international guests.

"Radisson Blu Royal has our most international clientele and will continue to be so. International travel to Helsinki is growing again, and we believe that it will exceed pre-pandemic levels. We plan our operations for the long term," says Jari Annala, CEO of hotel operator Sokotel.

The hotel room renovation at Radisson Blu Royal was completed in 2019. The interior was designed by dSign Vertti Kivi & Co. and exudes timeless Nordic elegance.

Now also the meeting and event facilities of the hotel will be renovated, as well the hotel lobby and breakfast areas. The facilities can be used to host events for over 600 people. As a special feature, customers can reserve their own wing, in which case the event organizer will have access not only to the event facilities but also to the hotel rooms. This makes it possible to tailor events more extensively according to customer wishes.

"At Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, we have years of experience hosting demanding customers and events. In today’s tough market, our strengths are our staff and their service attitude. Now we will also elevate the event spaces to the same level as our customer service and hotel rooms," Annala says.

The renovations will be carried out during the construction of the new health centre in front of the hotel. The hotel will close on 1.5.2024, and the planned opening is in autumn 2025.

"Kamppi is developing in the right direction and the environment of the new health centre will be more attractive. For customers, a high-quality and international hotel in the heart of Kamppi with modern event facilities and its own parking garage is an unbeatable combination," says Jari Annala.
